As the popularity of Mr. Marks' poetry grew, radio stations around the country began to produce dramatic readings of these works, some with beautiful background orchestration.

In 2007, Mr. Marks was very kindly contacted by country music superstar Michael Martin Murphey, who had read "A Soldier's Christmas" on stage as part of his national Cowboy Christmas tour. As he explained to Mr. Marks, "the crowd went wild."

This began a collaboration that resulted in "A Soldier's Christmas" being produced by Michael Martin Murphey, airing on country music radio nationwide with all proceeds going to charities that support US troops.

Mr. Marks has been honored by the chance to work with Mr. Murphey, whom he has come to know as a genuine patriot, a real cowboy and a great American.
